The patient app is independent from the hospital’s systems. It's a consumer app that is used by patients as a health drive to store all their health data. Patients can give access to this data for the hospitals using the Pensieve. The moment a patient logs in securely, they are greeted by their personal health timeline and scheduled objects. Patients can access their hospital records easily in the app. Every event appears exactly as it was entered by doctors and nurses: vital signs from bedside templates (blood pressure trends, temperature charts), diagnoses with simple explanations, investigation reports with graphs and reference ranges, prescriptions in their preferred language, procedure notes, nursing assessments, and discharge summaries. Patients scroll effortlessly through their entire medical story, understanding the progression of illness and recovery without needing to decipher handwritten notes or chase files. Reports are instantly downloadable as signed PDFs - lab results, radiology images with embedded viewer, discharge summaries, fitness certificates - all watermarked and verifiable. Medication schedules transform prescriptions into an intuitive daily view: color-coded pills with timings, dosage instructions, and automatic reminders pushed as notifications ("Time to take Tab. Dolo 650mg"). Patients mark doses as taken or skipped, with adherence data flowing back anonymized for doctors to review during follow-ups. Financial transparency is complete: outstanding bills, paid receipts, insurance pre-authorization status, and itemized breakdowns appear in a dedicated wallet section. Secure payment gateways allow instant settlement from within the app, with digital receipts pushed immediately. Booking appointments is frictionless - patients browse live doctor schedules across all sites in your network, select regular or tele-consult slots, pay consultation fees upfront if required, and receive calendar invites plus automated reminders (48 hours and 2 hours prior). No-show rescheduling happens with one tap. Direct messaging bridges the gap between visits: patients send secure text, photos (wound healing progress, rash images), or documents to their treating doctor or care team, with read receipts and threaded conversations stored in the timeline for continuity. Pre-visit questionnaires streamline consultations - doctors push custom templates (allergy updates, symptom checklists, travel history) that patients fill from home, with responses appearing instantly on the doctor's screen before the patient even arrives.
